Ingram Micro Reports 36% Increase in Earnings

Ingram Micro Inc., the nation’s largest distributor of personal computers, said Tuesday that its sales of $457 million for the second quarter ended June 30 were up 36% from $336 million for the year-earlier period. The company, which is privately held, does not disclose net income.

Sales for the current year include revenue from Ingram Micro (U.K.), the company’s new subsidiary in the United Kingdom.

For the first six months of the year, Ingram Micro’s sales were $890 million, up 35% from $659 million a year earlier.
