Pop Album Chart : Cole Is Still the Monarch of the Hill

Share

Natalie Cole’s “Unforgettable” looks untouchable at the top of the Billboard magazine pop album chart--reigning for the third straight week, with no strong challenger in sight. One of its big selling points is her single of the title song. Boyz II Men’s album, “CooleyHighHarmony,” moved up two more notches to No. 8, propelled by the group’s fast-rising single, “Motownphilly.” Two of the hottest new charted albums are soundtracks: “Boyz N’ the Hood” and “Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey.”

* The group Color Me Badd, which has one of the year’s top singles with “I Wanna Sex You Up” from the movie “New Jack City”--debuted at No. 19 with its new album, “C.M.B.”
