Medical Imaging to Buy Medifax: San Diego-based Medical Imaging Centers of America Inc. plans to acquire all of the outstanding shares of Medifax Inc., a leading provider of medical record documentation and storage for hospitals, clinics and physician groups. Medifax, headquartered in Overland Park, Kan., has generated revenue of more than $7.5 million the first six months ended June 30. MICA intends to acquire the shares in exchange for $15 million in market value of MICA common stock.
