Health Coverage Ensured: Santa Barbara Superior Court Judge Patrick L. McMahon has approved an agreement to allow Great Republic Insurance Co. policyholders to maintain uninterrupted health coverage by enrolling in Blue Cross of California or its subsidiary, Woodland Hills Life & Health Insurance Co. California regulators seized Great Republic on July 1 after determining that it had negative capital and a surplus of only $454,000, or $954,000 less than the law required. Policyholders have 60 days to convert.
