The 32-year-old woman who died Thursday when a stunt plane crashed into Lake Elsinore was identified Friday as Ann Horscroft. Her pilot, who also died in the crash, was identified as Jack Halbeisen, 78, a veteran stunt pilot. Horscroft, a member of a Lake Elsinore parachute club, had planned to take a traditional birthday jump with other members of the group. But first she was offered a surprise airplane ride as a present. Halbeisen’s single-engine plane, specially designed for stunts, crashed shortly after taking off from Skylark Airport on what was to be a 15-minute flight. The cause of the crash was being investigated.
