A Little Help From His Friend: A sheriff’s deputy in Sarasota, Fla., was suspended for a day for helping Paul Reubens of Pee-wee Herman fame post bail after his arrest two weeks ago on indecent exposure charges. Cpl. Joan Verizzo, a longtime friend of Reubens, said the actor called her from the adult theater where he was arrested for allegedly exposing himself. Reubens, 38, told her he didn’t have enough money to post the $219 bail, and she lent him $40, Verizzo said. A spokesman for the sheriff’s department said it’s a violation for department members to post bail for anyone other than members of their immediate family.
