Abortion and Birth Control

It is no wonder there was a man cutting up human bodies in Milwaukee. At least they have the decency in Milwaukee to arrest the murderer and body mangler. How on earth can our Congress vote to not only condone but fund the use of aborted babies for scientific research (“House Votes to End Ban on Fetal Tissue Research Funds,” Part A, July 26)?

Abortion is murder. Scientists want to take these little living creatures, tear them apart and transplant them into other people’s bodies. Rep. Henry J. Hyde (R-Ill.) was not kidding when he asked, “Is Frankenstein becoming an acceptable model so that we kill people (to) to get their organs?”

Surprisingly, the pro-life activists in Washington did not waste their time lobbying against this bill because they are confident that President Bush will veto it. I pray that they are right.
