STANTON : Tests Scheduled for Potential Donors
In an effort to save the life of an 8-year-old Stanton girl, doctors will screen volunteers today as potential bone marrow donors.
Christie Kowalsky, who has been hospitalized for most of the last few months, suffers from aplastic anemia, a life-threatening blood disease that leaves her susceptible to a variety of infections.
Blood screenings will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and Medical Center, 17100 Euclid St. in Fountain Valley. For appointments, call (714) 966-8174.
