Hockney Jumps In: Artist David Hockney is donating an interesting item to the Los Angeles Center for Living’s “Divine Design” auction Sept. 29: He’ll hand-paint your swimming pool. The second annual fund-raising event will benefit Project Angel Food, which delivers free meals daily to more than 200 homebound people with AIDS and also assists people with life-threatening illnesses. The 4 p.m. auction will be held at Barker Hangar at the Santa Monica Air Center.
