Ford Recalls 188,000 Cars: Ford Motor Co. recalled about 188,000 1984 and ‘85-model Ford Escort and EXP and Mercury Lynx cars because of potential emissions problems. The affected cars are equipped with 1.6-liter engines. Vehicles made for sale in California and Canada were not affected. Dealers will be notified by mail and the work will be performed for free.
