EDS Claims Control of SD-Scicon: Electronic Data Systems Corp. said it has won its hostile bid for control of the British computer services firm. EDS, the information technology unit of General Motors, said it has either acquired or agreed to acquire a “sufficient total” of SD-Scicon’s shares to take control. The minimum required would be over 50%. The $1.02 a share offer, which values SD-Scicon at $271 million, had been due to expire today.
