The ‘American Way’ at the Pan Am Games

Bravo, magnifico and ole to Mike Downey for exceeding his usually beautiful columns for his article today (“It’s the American Way,” Aug. 9). After all the sacrifices the Cuban people have made to honor a commitment, only to have a handful of American athletes prolong the image of “ugly Americans” is unforgivable.
