Dr. Minerva Campos, medical director of Coastal County Health Centers, Los Angeles County Department of Health Services, reminds parents that all children entering kindergarten or who are transferring to the California public school system in September will need immunization records with the exact dates they received the required immunizations for diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (DPT), polio, measles, mumps and rubella (MMR). They also must get a tuberculosis (TB) skin test.

These immunizations and the TB test can be obtained free of charge for children up to 18 years of age at the following local county health centers:

Bellflower Health Center, 10005 E. Flower Ave., Bellflower, from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, 804-8121.
