Heroism Worthy of Page 1 Play

I just read the story about off-duty Police Detective Michael D. Schneider saving two men from a burning car in Laguna Niguel (“Detective Saves Men in Car Fire,” Aug. 11).

Too bad that you couldn’t have featured the story on Page 1 instead of burying it on B4. It is refreshing to read the Schneider story after all of the murders, shootings, holdups, rapes, the King saga, etc., that usually appear on Page 1.

Detective Schneider is a real hero and role model! Risking your life under those conditions deserves more than Page B4.
