AIDS Awareness for Teens: ABC and PBS, in a public-service collaboration between commercial and public television, will each air an AIDS special aimed at teen-agers and parents. The one-hour drama, produced by public-TV station WGBH in Boston, is “In the Shadow of Love: A Teen AIDS Story.” Its cast includes Harvey Fierstein, known for “Torch Song Trilogy,” who portrays an AIDS counselor. The program, about a high school TV news team that interviews teens who have tested positive for HIV, will air Sept. 18 on PBS; ABC will broadcast it the next afternoon.
