MARATHON ORANGE: It’s been seven years since anyone held a marathon in Orange County. Now it could become an annual event. . . . County supervisors Tuesday commended Orange County Marathon Inc., which has scheduled a run for Nov. 3. The 26.2-mile course will generally run from Anaheim Stadium to the UC Irvine campus. There will be prizes for the winners, of course, and, for any runner who takes advantage of the flat course and expected cool weather to lower the world-record time, there’s a special bonus: $100,000. Board of Supervisors Chairman Gaddi H. Vasquez announced that he plans to enter the 5-K event.
