Condition of Man in Heart Mismatch Case Improves

PORTLAND, Ore. —
The condition of a man who received the wrong heart in a transplant operation last week was upgraded from critical to serious Tuesday, two days after he received a proper heart in a second operation, hospital officials said. The man, who has Type O blood, originally had received a heart last Wednesday from a donor with Type A blood.
