La Canada Flintridge : $50,000 for Rose Garden

The “Adopt-a-Rose” fund-raiser for the new rose garden at Descanso Gardens has collected $50,000 in its first three months. The goal is $500,000.

Individuals can symbolically adopt one of 4,000 new rosebushes to be planted in the $1.5-million rose garden, which is scheduled to be completed in 1993. Sponsorships range from $100 to $500.
