Norwalk : Smoking Ban in Most City Buildings to Begin Sept. 9
The City Council has unanimously passed an ordinance banning smoking in most city buildings in Norwalk.
The law, which goes into effect Sept. 9, prohibits smoking in City Hall, administrative offices, the city library and “any room, chamber, place . . . where public business is being conducted.”
Smoking in the Senior Citizens Center and Social Services Center will be allowed, as well as in any area designated by the city manager and approved by the council.
