250 Gerbils, Hamsters Escape in Airport Area

LANSING, Mich. —
About 250 gerbils and hamsters being shipped from Mississippi chewed their way out of boxes Friday and scattered at an airport. Officials of Capital City Airport captured about half of the rodents, but the rest were believed to be in storage areas.
