DR. YES: Who has the most prestigious jobs? A survey of 1,200 adults by researchers at UC Irvine and USC, released Wednesday, puts doctors at the top. Then come college presidents, astronauts, high government officials, lawyers and computer scientists. Taxi drivers beat out used-car salesmen at the mid-level. At the bottom end, street-corner drug dealers ranked at the same level as fortune-tellers, just below envelope stuffers and prostitutes. Least prestigious of all? Panhandlers.
