From Times Staff and Wire Reports

An Israeli Defense Ministry spokesman called on Iran to admit that it is holding a missing Israeli airman. Amal, a Shiite Muslim movement in Lebanon, said this week that it holds two of the seven Israeli servicemen missing in Lebanon and that missing Israeli navigator Ron Arad was sold to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards for $500,000. A spokesman for Defense Minister Moshe Arens said on army radio that Israel had no news on Arad other than the Amal announcement published in the press, and called on Tehran to admit the Israeli is in Iran. Iran has denied it is holding Arad.
