Oxnard Mayor Nao Takasugi will unveil an 18-foot sculpture today as part of a Family Art Walk celebration at California Cove, a community of 200 luxury homes, a spokesman said.
The celebration from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. will feature arts and crafts by elementary and junior high school students, in addition to the unveiling of “Trinity Dance,” a giant polished and brushed stainless steel sculpture, said Gregory F. Romano, spokesman for Kaufman & Broad Home Corp.
The sculpture by artist James M. Palmer represents a family of three dancing in a circle holding hands. It is located at the entrance to the community at 2450 Northbrook Drive.
