HOLIDAY TRADE: All county offices, except for courthouses, will close Monday in honor of Admission Day--marking California’s union with the Union. . . . Oddly enough, it’ll be business as usual for state employees, because in 1985 they chose instead to take off the day after Thanksgiving. Lucky county workers don’t work either day.
