Shamrock Broadcasting Inc., Burbank, has announced the appointment of Diane Sutter to the newly created position of executive vice president of operations. Prior to her appointment, she was corporate vice president and general manager of the company’s Lexington, Ky., television station WTVQ (ABC).

Sutter will work out of the company’s Burbank headquarters.

Sutter succeeds Karen Merrell, who transfers to the parent company, Shamrock Holdings Inc., and will be stationed in Tel Aviv, where she will oversee the company’s cable television and other media interests as well as future investments in Israel.
