Woman Killed When Motorcycle Hits Car
A 24-year-old passenger on a motorcycle was killed when the vehicle hit a car at Glenoaks Boulevard and Gain Street in Pacoima, police said Thursday.
The Los Angeles woman, whose name was not released pending notification of relatives, was pronounced dead from head injuries at Holy Cross Hospital minutes after the accident, which occurred about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, Los Angeles Police Officer Bill Mulvihill said.
The motorcycle was headed north on Glenoaks and struck a car turning left from Gain, Mulvihill said. The motorcycle driver, Ubaldo Gonzalez, 20, of Sun Valley was treated at the scene for minor injuries. Gonzalez and his passenger were not wearing helmets, Mulvihill said.
The car’s driver, a 17-year-old Pacoima boy, was not injured, Mulvihill said. Police have asked the district attorney to file charges of misdemeanor manslaughter against him.
