The Denver Grand Prix filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, a move that probably will pave the way for race organizers to move the CART Indy-car event out of downtown in 1992.
The Grand Prix reported operating losses of $5 million in its first year in 1990 and about $1.8 million this year.
