Car Insurance Dilemma

Share

Insurance Commissioner Garamendi has done a good job in implementing Proposition 103 in compliance with the law. Now, Ralph Nader and Harvey Rosenfield, in their vendetta against the auto insurance industry, are labeling Garamendi a turncoat. He endorsed no-fault insurance because he feels it is the best plan for the people who cannot afford auto insurance.

The voters would probably have approved no-fault in 1988 if they hadn’t been seduced by promises of big refund checks under 103. All the fighting and three-year delay would have been unnecessary.
