Mattel Inc. has promoted Alexander D. Welch to senior vice president, Asia/Pacific. Formerly vice president, Asia/Pacific, Welch, 47, joined the El Segundo toy maker in 1990.
A native of Boston, Welch earned a bachelor’s degree in history and English in 1966 from Tufts University in Medford, Mass.
