Gag Order Put Into Effect in ‘Mall Murders’ Case
A gag order has been placed on criminal proceedings against four suspects charged in three kidnapings and murders of San Gabriel Valley residents.
Citrus Municipal Judge Fred Felix, who on Sept. 5 sealed records in the so-called “mall murders” case, issued the new order Monday. Deputy Public Defender Lynn Storing, who represents defendant John Lewis, sought the order.
Lewis, 21, and three others--Eileen Huber, 20; Vincent Hubbard, 26, and Robin Machuca, 26--return to court Sept. 25 to have a date set for a preliminary hearing.
