Feds Drop Remaining Charges Against Mulheren: The government dropped all remaining charges against John A. Mulheren Jr., the former Wall Street speculator whose stock manipulation conviction was thrown out on appeal. The action by the U.S. attorney’s office in Manhattan clears Mulheren--whose trial featured the first public testimony by admitted inside trader Ivan F. Boesky--of all criminal charges. Prosecutors dropped 26 counts of securities fraud, mail fraud and record-keeping violations on which the jury at Mulheren’s trial last year could not reach a verdict.
