Generation Gap at the NAACP

Share

Recently, I resigned as an NAACP executive committee member from the Beverly Hills-Hollywood, San Gabriel Valley and Pomona, California branches for many of the same reasons your article alluded to.

Local NAACP officials must bear shared responsibility for the sad economic conditions relative to school dropout rate and the drug problems our youth are experiencing. They must bear responsibility because these branches do not have progressive agendas.

I am sure many of those who have left the ranks of the NAACP will return to the fold once the mental infrastructure is changed.
