Federated, Allied Want More Time to File Plan: Federated Department Stores and Allied Stores will ask for more time to file a plan to emerge from Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization, lawyers for the companies said. The retailers, which own Ralphs supermarkets in Southern California, had intended to file the plan and a financial disclosure statement in U.S. Bankruptcy Court this week.
