A teen-ager who died Sunday when the truck in which he was riding skidded off a road near San Vicente Lake was identified Monday as Matthew Thomas Lynch, 16, of the 13200 block of Stone Canyon Road in Poway.
Lynch was riding in the bed of the truck when the driver lost control while speeding around a curve, San Diego Police Department spokesman Bill Robinson said. Three other youths were injured when they were ejected, he said.
The three surviving victims were hospitalized, and authorities have not released their names.
