Carey Recovering: Actor Macdonald Carey, 78, recovering from lung cancer surgery performed last week, has been moved from intensive care and will be in St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica about five more days, a spokesman said Tuesday. A statement from his surgeon was optimistic about Carey’s rapid return to “Days of Our Lives,” on which he has starred for 26 seasons.
