Coors Can’t Disclose Alcohol Content: A ruling by a federal appeals court will delay previously announced plans by Adolf Coors Co. to disclose the alcohol content of its beer on labels and in advertising. The U.S. 10th Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver reversed a U.S. district court judge’s decision that a 1935 law prohibiting such disclosure unconstitutionally violates freedom of speech. The courts are concerned that brewers might try to market beer on the basis of alcoholic content.
