Authorities are looking for a man who they believed may have robbed two banks in South County less than an hour apart Thursday.
In both robberies, the man, wearing black jogging suits, handed tellers a note demanding money and without any signs of having a weapon, said Sheriff’s Lt. Jay Mendez.
The first robbery occurred at 2:47 p.m. at Hawthorne Savings & Loan, at 25241 McIntyre St., in Laguna Hills, Mendez said.
The second happened in San Juan Capistrano at 3:56 p.m. A man, matching the description of the first robber, but with a black curly wig, robbed the Glendale Federal Savings Bank at 32291 Camino Capistrano, Mendez said.
