Becker Will Defend Ocean Regatta Title

Defending champion Ann Becker of Capistrano Beach will be among the competitors in the 13th Women’s Ocean Racing Regatta today and Sunday in Newport Beach.

More than 130 women and 20 yachts ranging in size from 20 to 41 feet will compete in four classes. The races will begin each day at noon a half mile from Newport Pier.

The races can be viewed from the pier.
