Border Patrol Doing Right Thing to Curb Influx

Regarding “INS Raid Tactics to Be Investigated” (Sept. 20), I say hooray for the INS! It’s about time something is done about the terrible situation of our being overwhelmed by hundreds of illegal immigrants!

This influx has negatively impacted all our institutions: our overcrowded schools, the overburdened police, the housing shortage, and all public services. It is simply ridiculous that our nation cannot secure its borders and stop this torrent of people who, with no skills, contribute little or nothing to us.

I feel all the money we have to spend on providing services for these people, who shouldn’t be here in the first place, could better be spent on the Border Patrol to prevent them from coming in.

When are we going to wake up to this increasingly terrible situation?
