A man who police say is a top hit man for the Medellin cocaine cartel may have been involved in a New York bar slaying that left four people dead and six wounded, a Bogota newspaper reported. El Tiempo, Colombia’s largest daily, said the man, Dandeny Munoz, was arrested last Wednesday in New York and is being held on a charge of lying about his identity at the time of his detention. The report said U.S. authorities are investigating other unspecified charges that could bar Munoz from being returned to Colombia, where he has twice escaped from jail.
