I could not help but notice that, as you did with Ronald Reagan, you only ran the negative letters about George Bush (Aug. 18)--no wonder so many people take The Register.

The magazine received nine anti-Bush letters, one pro-Bush letter (sarcastically exhorting The Times to elect writers David Lauter and James Gerstenzang to its board of directors) and one neutral letter (discussing the James David Barber book “The Presidential Character”). --The Editors.
