Fighting flared in several parts of Croatia as the federal army surrendered more barracks besieged by militias of the secessionist republic. The sporadic violence continued despite a cease-fire signed last week. At least six people were reported killed and 70 injured in the latest fighting. Meanwhile, a long column of army vehicles was seen heading out of Belgrade in the direction of Croatia. A Western diplomat said the column included tanks and heavy artillery.
