VENTURA : Equipment Failure Cuts Electricity
- Share via
A half-hour power outage due to an underground equipment failure Wednesday afternoon affected 2,800 Southern California Edison customers in Ventura.
One of those customers is the county government, which has three buildings in the area where between 2,500 and 3,000 employees work.
Edison area manager Mike Montoya said equipment on Telegraph Road west of Victoria Avenue failed at 3:34 p.m., and power was returned to the majority of customers in the two- to three-mile area affected by 4:05 p.m.
