Closer Ties to South Korea Sought: A trade minister called for closer economic cooperation with South Korea, whose trade with Singapore has jumped three-fold in recent years. Lim Boon Heng said firms in the two countries should coordinate shipping activities and third-country investments. Lim said bilateral trade increased from $1.1 billion in 1983 to $3.1 billion in 1990.
