Harley F. Copp; Key Designer of Continental Mark II

Harley F. Copp, 69, automotive safety consultant and retired car designer for Ford Motor Co. A native of Kansas who grew up in Dearborn, Mich., Copp attended the Edison Institute of Technology there. A Ford engineer for 31 years, he was key designer of the Continental Mark II in 1953 and the Ford Falcon in 1959. He also directed engineering for the company in Britain and throughout Europe. On Tuesday in San Clemente of complications from a stroke.
