Region : Boy Scout Appointment

The Verdugo Hills Council of the Boy Scouts of America has named Kenneth R. Goad its new president and Scout executive.

Goad comes to his new post from the Longhorn Council in Fort Worth, Tex. He succeeds Harry Smith, who was promoted to Western Region personnel director for the Boy Scouts.

The Verdugo Hills Council serves nearly 6,000 young people in Burbank, Glendale, Eagle Rock, La Crescenta and Sunland-Tujunga.
