Nowhere do the writers give any hope of defense against lethal diseases carried by unstoppable insects: No updates on the effects of new insecticides. No thoughts on sterile-insect-control methods. No insights on medical research.

I guess we’re all doomed to wear mosquito netting and carry around battery-operated bug lamps.
