Nationwide Health Properties Inc.: The Newport Beach real estate investment trust reported that its third-quarter earnings increased 27% to $5.7 million, or 43 cents per share, from $4.5 million, or 40 cents per share, a year earlier. Revenue rose 19% to $9.5 million. For the nine-month period, earnings totaled $12.4 million, or 98 cents per share--including an extraordinary charge of $3.5 million--compared to earnings of $12.6 million, or $1.16 per share, a year earlier. Revenue was up 11% to $25.9 million.
