Picus and Warner Ridge
The article Oct. 4 dramatized the hard-hitting support rendered on behalf of our community by our City Council representative, Joy Picus.
How would any judge or jury find against a city process or elected official for listening and responding to the will of the people? I find this particular “charge” by the “unprofessionals” to be both contradictory and insidious.
They pay their lobbyists tens of thousands of dollars to champion their causes in City Hall. They brag about having a “deep pockets” benefactor that will spend whatever it takes to win their lawsuit against the city.
Picus is to be congratulated and applauded.
The community speaks, the elected official listens. That is what democracy is all about.
