Multiple Choices

Share

As in fashion, the cosmetic world has stopped dictating one look to women and started offering multiple makeup choices. The trick now in picking a foundation is knowing what you want before you hit the counters. Here are some of the latest products:

* For women with difficult-to-match black, Latino, Asian or very pale Caucasian skin tones: Prescriptives’ All Skins, introduced this month, offers 115 foundation shades in five different formulas.

* For black and Latino women who find that foundations change color on their skin: Clinique’s Stay-True Makeup--a chalk-free, oil-free base--now comes in deeper colors.

* For women who want coverage but don’t care for the harshness of opaque makeup: Estee Lauder’s new Lucidity is a “light-diffusing makeup.”

* For those who want an all-in-one product: Elizabeth Arden’s Flawless Finish Daily Minimum Makeup is foundation, moisturizer and SPF 6 sunscreen.

* For women who have sensitive skin or who have been using Retin A: Kao Sofina makes Milky Foundation with an SPF 10.

* For those who find matte finishes too dry-looking: Germaine Monteil’s newly reformulated Supplegen, with emollients and micronized pearl, supplies the shine.

* For women who want to camouflage and treat acne: Cover Girl’s Clarifying Make-Up contains acne-fighting salicylic acid.
